The Morning After

KA-BOOM!  It's hard to engineer a bigger rebuke than last night.

The short version is that the GOP took back the House in true historic style, with at least 65 seats, making it the biggest sweep in almost a century.  They picked up at least six seats in the Senate, too, though the Dems will retain their majority.  Some races are still too close to call.

The GOP is vowing to fight Obama's radical Leftist agenda, and a large bloc of conservative blood will help put the reality to those promises.  One of the bigger take-downs of the night was right here in Missouri, where long-time Congressman Ike Skelton met his political demise at the hands of Tea Party candidate Vicki Hartzler.  Republicans also picked up a number of Governorships last night, too.

I'll have more analysis of the results in the next couple days, as things start settling in a bit.  For now, I would urge that we immediately begin hammering the outgoing Congress to do as little as possible in the lame duck session.  The American people have spoken, and it is clear we don't want Obama's radical Leftist regime.
