I'll have a more comprehensive post on the after-effects of the so-called debt deal later, but for now, let's just look at one thing: the stock market. If this deal was such a great thing for the country, and actually saved us from the debt ceiling armageddon that Obama and the Dems were hyping (remember, this deal would 'save life on the planet as we know it'), then why has the stock market been in free fall ever since it was signed into law? In fact, if I'm not mistaken, the current losses wipe out all gains made since January, and investors are running scared because they expect no real improvements anytime soon.
Huh.
